FAQs

 Do I need an appointment for a paddling trip or do you take walk-ins?  Appointments are necessary so we know how to staff as well as to ensure no wait times to begin your trip.  Make your appointment by calling or booking online.

Should I arrive early? No need for early arrival, come at your scheduled time.  Late arrival may cause wait times.

Who has to wear a lifejacket? All boats will be supplied with a size appropriate life jacket.  Individuals 10 year old and under must wear jacket at all times according to Ohio Law.

I scheduled an appointment, can I cancel? We understand circumstances happen that requires a customer to cancel.  Please call as soon as possible, so we can make your equipment available to another customer.  If online booking was made, a refund can be issued if the customer calls to make the request.

What kind of payment do you accept? We accept cash and credit cards.  At the moment we do not accept Apple Pay.

It is raining on the day of my scheduled appointment, can I still go? Although we will not put boats out during inclement weather such as thunderstorms, many customers do not mind paddling through some light rain. Ultimately we reserve the right to cancel due to safety concerns.  If inclement weather is predicted, it is recommended to call and talk to our staff before you arrive. Follow our Facebook page for current updates on river conditions and closings due to flooding.

Can I bring a cooler? Yes, you may bring a cooler.  Most guests find an average size cooler fits on the boat with them.  We recommend no styrofoam coolers or glass bottles.  For larger coolers there are rafts available to rent for $5 per day.

Can I bring my own equipment? Due to insurance and liability, our equipment must be used. 

What time must I return from my trip? There is no return time set for trips, however boats must be returned to the livery before dark.

Can I bring my phone/keys on the river? Although most phones are waterproof, they do not float.  Bringing a phone without a water bag is very strongly discouraged.  Phone bags can be purchased in the livery office.  Please do not take keys on the river, we will gladly hold them for you in the office.

What should I wear on the river? More than likely you will get wet, so dress accordingly.  Changing room is available in the livery office.

Do you have restrooms? Port-a-johns are available at the livery office and by the put-in/take out at the river.

Can a handicapped guest paddle? Your safety is our number one priority. We will do anything we can to help our handicapped guest paddle.  Outriggers are available upon request for canoes.  We do reserve the right to deny any guest a trip if their safety is a concern.

Do I need to purchase corn maze tickets online?  Corn maze tickets can be purchased online or at the door during business hours.

Are the wagon and barrel train rides included with admission?  Yes.  All activities on the farm are included with admission, wagon ride, barrel train ride, bouncy house, mini golf, outdoor games and admission to the pumpkin patch.

Can I pick my own pumpkin?  Wagons are available to pick your own pumpkin or pre-picked selections are available as well.

What hours can I pick a pumpkin?  Pumpkins can be picked any time.  Feel free to roam the pumpkin patch or pre-picked ones are available as well.  Cash or check can be left in the money box under the large barn.
